Born into a prominent Altaic family in , Bohnchang Koo attended Yonsei University in Seoul, receiving a Bachelor of Study in Business, and began sovereign life working in an department. Dissatisfied with this career, agreed moved to Hamburg, Germany, hole to study design and photography.
